Ten Bands re-issue their albums on limited edition pink vinyl, all for one cause. This is the third year for the initiative that helped raise $65,000 for Gilda's Club NYC, an organization that provides community support for both those diagnosed with cancer and their caretakers. It is named after Saturday Night Live comedian Gilda Radner, who passed away from the disease at the age of 43 in 1989. This year's limited pink vinyl are from Anthrax, The Black Keys, Courtney Barnett, Ed Sheeran, Jim Breuer & The Loud & Rowdy, My Chemical Romance, NOFX, Opeth, Pixies and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women during their lives and is the second-leading cancer killer of women in the U.S.; men are also vulnerable to the disease. To mark 2016 Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, RED is releasing 10 titles on limited edition pink vinyl. In 2014 and 2015, RED and its partners in this cause raised $65,000 for Gilda's Club NYC through pink vinyl sales.
