Kiss tore a page out of Alice In Chains and Pantera's playbook for this one. Kiss entered the studio in November of 1995 to record Carnival of Souls, but it wouldn't get released for nearly two years. Still, bootleg copies of the album appeared (to the displeasure of the band and Polygram) and were heavily traded via the Internet prior to the official release. Guitarist Bruce Kulick co-wrote a whopping nine of the 12 tracks on the album — the most of any KISS member ever.
