It was 1969 when Jimi Hendrix took the stage to end what would become the most famous rock event in history. Who knew it would be around 9 a.m. on Monday morning when Woodstock finally ended? It was supposed to conclude Sunday night. What we do know is that Jimi came to headline the show and sure enough did so, even if it was at least 12 hours later than anticipated. For those who stayed to see the world's greatest rock guitarist, it must have been a fitting end to three days of memorable performances by Crosby, Stills and Nash, Janis Joplin, Santana, The Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, The Band and a host of others. A 3 LP set on 180 gram vinyl.
